Modern uniform shirt

        The Raid shirt is a new version of a classic shirt. It creates a set with UTP, SFU Mk2, or BDU Mk2 trousers, but will also work as a lightweight stand-alone shirt for patrol or urban activities. The tradition of this type of tactical clothing dates back to the 1940s, but we've traced the historical development of these uniforms to prepare a timeless and modern product. The Raid Shirt is made entirely from Polycotton Stretch Ripstop fabric (48% cotton, 50% polyester, 2% elastane), so it's slightly stretchy and allows for greater freedom of movement.

Unusual in tactical clothing - the raglan construction

        Following the rule that a uniform shirt is a so-called second skin of the wearer, this model uses a comfortable raglan construction. The sleeves are sewn directly into the collar, so there are no seams on the shoulders, whereas in traditional cut there is a material joining. Often the equipment or plate holder straps are placed there, which causes discomfort. The raglan construction means the Raid Shirt worn under the vest doesn't pinch anywhere. This type of tailoring is almost non-existent in the uniform industry, although the US military uses it. The most recent American IHWCU (Improved Hot Weather Combat Uniform) uniform has a raglan construction.

        The Raid Shirt has a total of eight loop pockets that you can attach your gear to so you don't lose it during operations.
Just undo a button on the main strip to reach the pocket.

       Plus there are two slanted shoulder pockets with two closure options. The snug fit with two small hook-and-loop fasteners can be dazzled if necessary and Canadian buttons can be used. The placement of both closure options allows you to wear a shirt, for example, for green tactics when you want to be as quiet as possible. In addition, in high humidity (e.g. tropical) conditions, the hook & loop will start to stick less and less over time, and the Canadian buttons will work smoothly. On the zippered shoulder pockets, there are also two smaller, open pockets for small items such as a compass. Next to this is a narrow compartment for a pen or pencil.

Progress based on experience

        Classic uniform shirts have been around since World War II. The most characteristic uniforms made of durable cotton were developed in the 1940s by the US Army and introduced into use as the M42 paratrooper uniform. This pattern evolved during the Vietnam War into a uniform called the TCU (Tropical Combat Uniform). After many years, the next stage was the introduction of a uniform called the BDU (Battle Dress Uniform) in all US armed forces. Since the late 1990s, it has been popular to introduce modifications at the request of the soldiers themselves: sewing extra pockets on the shoulders, adding Velcro, etc. Our Raid Shirt is a modern version of these modifications, which were meant to make the soldier's life easier.
