Short history:
The Romanian M1939 military helmet dutch model has an extremely interesting story. The negotiation for its purchase was made in 1937, agreeing to deliver the Dutch 1934 model in 1939. Thus, it became the Dutch 34 model, Romanian 39, in short 34/39. It was preferred for its distinct profile, which, after the Dutch surrender following a week of German bombardment, became the profile of Romanian soldiers in World War II. From the Dniester to the Don Bend, and from there to Budapest and the Tatra Mountains. The helmet was used until 1958, when the Soviet SSH40 helmet took its place as the dominant helmet in the people's army, gradually being placed in reserve. In 1968, due to tensions in the socialist space, it was decided to return to the 34/39 helmet model. By 1973, it had returned to its old status, and that year the 1973 helmet model appeared, which took its place entirely in terms of production.
